Best-Performing Pension Fund Administrators For Workers, Retirees in June

In June 2025, the Nigerian pension industry recorded a robust performance in all retirement savings account (RSA) categories, as pension fund administrators (PFAs) reported gains in their portfolios.

Fund administrators disclosed in their various pension fund price histories that they recorded an average monthly growth of 2.56 percent, according to Nairametrics.

How RSA Funds Performed

RSA Fund I, the high-risk and high-return category, reported an average return of 3.70 percent, which overshadowed other RSA funds, as RSA Fund II, which is preferred by active contributors below 50 years, delivered 3 percent on average.

Similarly, RSA Fund III, created for contributors nearing the age of retirement or 50 and above, returned a 2.06% gain, while RSA Fund IV, for retirees, delivered a 1.47 percent increase.

Top Five Performing PFAs Based On Average Percentage Change In June

With a 3.52 percent return and a 5.01 percent growth in the RSA Fund I and a 4.74 percent increase in the RSA II, Pensions Alliance Limited topped the list.

The second on the list is the Crusader Sterling Pensions Limited, which recorded 3.25 percent growth, following a 4.52 percent growth in the RSA Fund I and a 3.64 percent growth in the RSA Fund II.

Fidelity Pension Managers Limited posted a 3.20 percent gain, and reported a 6.06 percent increase in the RSA Fund I.

Following a 3.19 percent return, with a 5.78 percent gain in RSA Fund I and 1.82 percent growth in RSA Fund IV, Trustfund Pensions Plc took the fourth spot.

Leadway Pensure PFA Limited was ranked fifth after delivering a 3.09 percent average return, having recorded 4.01 percent in the RSA I and 4.24 percent in the RSA II.

Top Performing PFAs By Fund

RSA Fund I: Fidelity Pension Managers was the top performing PFA for Fund I with 6.06 percent return, followed by Trustfund Pensions Plc with 5.78 percent and Pensions Alliance Limited, which ended the month under review with 5.01 percent gain.

RSA Fund II: The best performing RSA for Fund II is Pensions Alliance Limited, with 4.74 percent gain, trailed by Leadway Pensure PFA Limited, which posted a 4.24 percent increase and Crusader Sterling Pensions, with a 3.64 percent.

RSA Fund III: Crusader Sterling Pensions was ranked first with a 2.89 percent return, Pensions Alliance Limited took the next spot with 2.71 percent, followed by Leadway Pensure PFA Limited, which recorded 2.52 percent.

RSA Fund IV: Crusader Sterling Pensions was ranked as the best-performing PFA for Fund IV after recording a 1.93 percent gain, while Trustfund Pensions Plc took the second spot with 1.82 percent, and AccessARM posted 1.71 percent to claim the third spot.
