The most outstanding players that strutted their talents on the biggest European football club tournament, the UEFA Champions League have been released by UEFA.

Real Madrid captain and top striker Karim Benzema who has been widely tipped to be crowned the Ballon d’Or and FIFA The Best winner for the year 2022 is deservedly leading the attack in that team that also contained fellow Real Madrid teammates, Thibaut Courtous in goal, midfield maestro Luka Modric and forward Vinicuis Junior.

Runners up Liverpool do not have the duo of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the attack but they have four players that made the cut namely Trent Alexander- Arnold, Robert and Virgil van Dijk (in defence) and midfielder Fabinho.

Manchester City is represented by the enigmatic Kevin De Bruyne.

Centre back Antonio Rudiger who is bound for Real Madrid next season is the only Chelsea player in the team while the current most expensive player in the world, Kylian Mbappe occupies the left side of a front three alongside Benzema and Vinicuis Junior.

Meanwhile Karim Benzema has been named as the UEFA Champions League Player of the Season while Vinicuis Junior scoops the prize for the Young Player of the Season
