According to information gathered, the Appeal Court was expected to begin hearing at 10am but did not sit until 5pm, barring reporters and Sunday Igboho’s supporters who converged within the premises of the court from entering into the courtroom.

Sunday Igboho was arrested along with his wife, Ropo, at Cardinal Bernadin International Airport, Cotonou, while on their way to catch a flight to Germany.

Recall that Ropo was set free on Thursday by the Court while Sunday Igboho has been held in custody by Brigade Criminelle in Cotonou.

Sunday Igboho has been accused by Nigerian Government of trafficking arms, inciting violence to disrupt the public peace and agitating secession.
