Arsenal youngster Miguel Azeez could be added to Arsenal’s match day squad for the game against Aston Villa Wednesday night with the duo of Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny set to miss the fixture and a few other matches due to injuries.

The transfer window shuts Thursday night with Mikel Arteta’s options limited in defensive midfied.

Arteta could go with a pairing of Granit Xhaka and one of Albert Sambi Lokonga or Martin Odegaard with Emile Smith Rowe expected to play in attacking midfield should Odegaard drop deep. t

If the Arsenal manager decides to have his midfield three line up this way, that leaves a space for Nigeria-eligible Azeez on the substitute bench as he was part of Tuesday’s training session.

Azeez posted a picture of him taking part in first-team training ahead of the game against Villa with a simple caption of ‘…’ leading many to believe he will be involved in some capacity.

Football.London, a London based footba newspaper also hints that the Gunners could make a late bid in the transfer window for Brazilian prodigy Danilo who plays as a defensive midfielder and despite being only 20 years old has already been invited to the Brazil senior side under coach Tite.
