The Nigerian reached  quarterfinals of the tournament in 2014 in the Men’s Singles competition but could not advance beyond the semifinals when he was defeated by Bulgaria’s Dimitrij Ovtcharov.

The Lusail Sports Arena in Doha will be the venue of the WTT which will hold between January 3 and 5, 2024 where the top seeds will square up against the likes of Aruna in the first round of 16 on Wednesday.
