Arsenal Set To Announce New Saka’s £300k Wage Contract

Arsenal are set to announce a new bumper wages for England international Bukayo Saka according to reports in the English media on Tuesday.

Saka was eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents who originally hail from Oyo State in the South western part of the country.

The Arsenal superstar however elected to play for England where he honed his football skills, being a product of the famed Hale End Academy.

Saka has scored 12 goals and provided 10 assists in all competitions this season.

The club’s hierarchy are now willing to announce a new contract for the forward said to be worth the north of £300,000 per week.

The 21-year-old has translated h o a club form onto the international stage with a peach against Ukraine on Sunday standing him in good stead to continue providing for Arsenal once domestic action resumes at the weekend.

The eye-watering wages would make him the highest-earning player currently at the Emirates, and one of the biggest earners to ever play for the club.

Former Germany, Real Madrid and Arsenal midfield genius, Mesut Ozil retains top spot in that respect, having picked up a huge £350,000 a week before leaving in 2021.

Former Arsenal striker Paul Merson underlined the vital role played by Saka at the club.

“He’s not the player that gets a hat-trick against a side bottom of the league or he’s not grabbing the seventh goal in a 7-0 win.

“At Arsenal, he’s getting the first goal, the equaliser or the winner. He’s getting assists at crucial moments.”
