Arsenal Honours Wenger, Unveils Statue At Emirates Stadium

Arsenal have finally unveiled the iconic bronze statue of legendary manager, Arsene Wenger at the Emirates stadium.
The imposing statue, standing tall at 3.5 metres, depicts Wenger lifting the coveted Premier League trophy.
An evocative image, it’s placed strategically outside the North Bank Stand, forever encapsulating the unforgettable Wenger era.
The revered Frenchman’s tenure spanned over two decades, during which he guided the Gunners to a wealth of silverware and unprecedented glory.
Top of his illustrious achievement was winning the 2003/2004 season with the team going unbeaten all season.
Three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup trophies bear testimony to his era of dominance. He moulded the Gunners into a footballing powerhouse, revolutionising the club’s identity.
Arsene Wenger’s sterling contributions which began in 1996 when he arrived from Japanese side, Grampus Eight, culminated in 2018.
Wenger is expected to be first of honour when the Gunners, play against one of his former clubs, AS Monaco, in the club’s Emirates Cup of the pre season tour on Wednesday, August 2.
Arsenal executive vice-chairman Tim Lewis honoured Wenger’s legacy, stating, “Arsene’s achievements mark him out as the club’s greatest manager. He gifted the club and its supporters with a deluge of trophies, unforgettable memories, and pioneered a revolution.”

Izuchukwu Okosi is a Nigerian sports and entertainment journalist with two decades of experience in the media industry having begun his media journey in 2002 as an intern at Mundial Sports International (MSI) and Africa Independent Television (AIT), owners of Daar Communications Plc.

In October 2004, Okosi joined Complete Communications Limited, publishers of Complete Sports newspaper and Complete Football magazine as a reporter and later script writer for the Complete Sports studio.

He worked there for 13 years until October 2017.

Okosi also worked various times as Correspondent, Content creator and Editor at Sports Market International Magazine, Opera News, All Nigeria Soccer Media and Iconic Media Watch.

He also undertook freelance writing gigs for some local and international organizations.

Okosi is a member of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Association of Voiceover Artistes of Nigeria (AVOA), Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) and Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).

He has been part of cast in some Nollywood movies and radio dramas including Blood Money 2, Scores To Settle, Dead End 2, Another Campus Tale and Battle Line.

Aside mainstream media and the entertainment industry, he has interests in scouting/unearthing of talents in the sports and creative sectors, exports business and property development.
