Presidential Screening Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has disqualified 10 aspirants.
This means the aspirants will not participate in the APC special convention/ primaries for selection of presidential candidate scheduled for Monday next week.
Chairman of the Committee, Mr. John Odigie Oyegun made the disclosure on Friday shortly after submitting the Committee Report to the APC National Chairman, Senator Abdullahi Adamu in Abuja.
Oyegun, a former governor of Edo State and first national chairman of APC, stated that only 13 out of the 23 aspirants screened were cleared by the Committee.
He however did not reveal the identity of the disqualified aspirants, insisting that the party will disclose their names in due time.
Commenting on the rumours making rounds about involvement of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the race, Oyegun said the committee did not screen him.
It would be recalled that the Committee held the screening exercise between Monday and Tuesday this week.
