APC Sacks Buni, Akpanudoedehe From Caretaker Committee Membership

Party says the removal will be ratified at NEC Meeting of Thursday March 17
March 9, 2022

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has sacked former Chairman  and secretary of the Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) Mai Mal Buni  and Senatior John James Akpanudoedehe respectively  from  the membership of the committee.

Prime Business, on sighting  the list of the APC National Convention Committees, had discovered that both Buni and Akpanudoedehe were missing in Central Planning Committee now headed by the new APC Chairman, Abubakar Sani Bello.

Subsequent checks further revealed that Governor Buni and his secretary were deliberately removed from membership of the Committee after Buni’s sack.

Senator Domingo Obande is now in charge of  Venue/Decor/Site Servicing as the Secretary.

BREAKING: Buhari Sacks Buni As APC Chairman, Appoints Governor Bello As ‘Sole Administrator’

Sources who were privy to the decision told Prime Business Africa that a resolution to that effect  was passed  at the Tuesday March 8, 2022 regular  meeting of the committee  in Abuja, explaining that the resolution would be ratified at the Thursday March 17 National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the party.

Buni, as chairman, and  a few colleague governors were accused of undermining the party’s plans  for a hitch-free  National Convention and had actually secured a court order stalling the Convention. The court order, according to some members of the APC,  was to be made public  two days to the originally scheduled March 26 Convention.

Senator Akpanudoedehe  was previously reported to have tendered this resignation after putting up  a weak resistance to Buni’s ouster and himself on Monday.
