APC National Chairman Ganduje Suspended By Ward Officials

The All Progressives Congress (APC), National chairman, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has been suspended by his party at the ward level over  allegations of corruption.

Ganduje was suspended by members of the Ganduje Ward in the Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of Kano State on Monday, April 15.

This was announced by the ward’s legal adviser, Halliru Gwanzo, who cited allegations of bribery against Ganduje by the Kano State government as the reason for the suspension.

“We decided to suspend Dr. Ganduje from the party due to the seriousness of the allegations against him,” Gwanzo stated.

Kano State Government recently filed charges of corruption against Ganduje at the state High Court.

The Court has fixed April 17 for the arraignment of Ganduje, his wife and son and five others  on eight-count charges bordering  on  dollar bribery allegation, misappropriation and diversion of public funds running into billion

Gwanzo maintained that the suspension subsists until the former Kano governor clears himself from the allegations.
