The collation officer said the election didn’t hold in the area.  Earlier reports from the local government revealed that the electoral officer attempted to produce results without the conduct of the election.

There are 20 electoral wards and about 148, 000 registered voters in the Ihiala LGA.

There were other polling units in some other LGAs where elections results were canceled due to irregularities.
