Governor Obiano Honours Best National Common Entrance Student

Anambra state governor Dr Willie Obiano has graciously acknowledged the academic excellence of Master Chinua Cruxifion Umeonyiagu, a proud son of the state who emerged the overall best student at the 2020 National Common Entrance Examination.

Umeonyiagu with examination number 311158FE scored 199 points,  out of a possible 200, to beat off competition from Onwuanam Udochukwu with examination number 346066JD who emerged the second best candidate with 198 points. Salaam Mariam Aderemilekun, with examination number 349257CD, came third nationwide with 197 points.

Umeonyiagu proved to be the proverbial chip of the old bloc as his father Ikechukwu Umeonyiagu is Dean, Faculty of Engineering at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Awka.

The Umeonyiagu’s hail from Nkpologwu in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

Anambra State has been home to many erudite scholars and the young Umeonyiagu is on the path to greatness.
