FOLLOWING the ongoing elections, the Publisher and Editor-in-chief of Prime Business Africa, Dr Marcel Mbamalu, has blamed the alleged 60 percent turnout of voters, on the general value system and orientation of Nigerians.

In a discussion themed ‘Anambra Decides 2021’ on Silver Bird Television with Eshomomor Emodo, Dr Mabamalu also described all Anambra elections as unique occurrences because the destiny of the south-east region depends on the state.

Mbamalu further alluded the turnout of voters to the perceived unrest in the state, and disappointments over the outcome of previous elections.

In his words, “Even if people are expected to vote and have a say over who governs them, sometimes, people vote, and the outcome does not reflect their desires.

“People don’t think their votes will count, therefore the authority needs to do something.”
