At the end of trading in the Nigerian stock market on Monday, December 22, the capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) Limited closed at N97.19 trillion.

Also, the all-share index (ASI) of the NGX stood at 152,459.07 ASI.

Equity traders exchanged 451,52 million shares in 33,327 deals, valued at N13.03 billion.

Top five gainers

  • ALEX’s share price increased by N1.20 kobo to rise from N12.35 kobo to N13.55 kobo per share.
  • International Insurance’s share value grew by N0.22 kobo, from N2.27 kobo to N2.49 kobo per share.
  • Mecure ended trading at N60.30 kobo per share, from N55 per share – indicating an increase of N0.22 kobo.
  • Royal Exchange gained N0.17 kobo to end trading at N1.94 kobo, having opened with N1.77 kobo.
  • Austin Laz’s share value was up by N0.23 kobo, after closing at N2.65 kobo from N2.42 kobo per share.

Top five losers

  • FGSUK2031S4’s share price depreciated by N9.99 kobo, dwindling from N89.99 kobo to N80 per share.
  • Custodian recorded a N3.90 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N35.10 kobo after opening with N39 per share.
  • Associated Bus Company lost N0.35 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N3.15 kobo from N3.50 kobo per share.
  • Prestige Assurance recorded a N0.12 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N1.50 kobo after opening with N1.62 kobo per share.
  • Guinea Insurance reported a decline of 7.38 percent from the previous day’s share price of N1.22 kobo to end trading at N1.13 kobo per share.
