However, the aviation unions after a closed-door meeting with the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, on Thursday, 24 April 2025, decided to suspend the strike until 13 May 2025 as they await fulfilment of the promises made by the Minister in resolving the lingering issues.

In a statement signed by Head of Corporate Communications, Air Peace, Dr Ejike Ndiulo, the airline said: “We are pleased to announce the resumption of all flight operations on Friday April 25, 2025 following the suspension of the industrial action by the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) and other labour unions in the aviation sector.”
