AFRIMA, PMAN, MPAN, RELPI, AMAMN Hold Summit To Tackle Industry Challenges

In an urgent effort to tackle pressing issues plaguing the Nigerian music industry, prominent stakeholders, including AFRIMA, PMAN, MPAN, RELPI, and AMAMN, have gathered today for an emergency summit.

The event aims to identify and implement solutions to the industry’s most pressing challenges.

The virtual summit, which commenced at 6:00 PM Nigerian time, is a collaborative effort between the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA), the Performing Musicians Employers Association of Nigeria (PMAN), the Record Label Proprietors Initiative (RELPI), the Association of Music Artist Managers of Nigeria (AMAMN), and the Music Publishers Association of Nigeria (MPAN).

Mike Dada, the President of AFRIMA, expressed the importance of this gathering, stating, “We have brought together a diverse group of stakeholders, including musicians, record labels, producers, and many others, to address the critical issues facing our music industry.”

The summit’s participants encompass a wide spectrum of the industry, ranging from musicians and record labels to promoters, artist managers, songwriters, DJs, video directors, and various supporting professionals such as entertainment lawyers and choreographers.

The primary objective of this meeting is to generate innovative ideas and propose legislation that will contribute to the professionalization of the Nigerian music and entertainment industry.

These efforts aim to revitalize the music, entertainment, arts, culture, and hospitality sectors in Nigeria.
