In a groundbreaking move towards economic empowerment and business expansion, the African Development Bank’s recent launch of the Mada Business Linkage platform in Madagascar has set the stage for a transformative shift in the nation’s business landscape.
Amidst the backdrop of this visionary endeavor, Adam Amoumoun, African Development Bank Country Manager in Madagascar, passionately declared, “This business linkage development program is an innovative mechanism in that SMEs now have the means to respond to opportunities offered by large companies and expressed through the online platform.”
The Mada Business Linkage, unveiled on September 14, is not just another digital platform; it’s a catalyst for change, bridging the gap between Malagasy businesses and potential collaborators. Designed and developed by Ingenosya, a pioneering digital transformation company in Madagascar, the platform heralds a new era of business connectivity.

Miangaly Andriamampandry, Deputy Director of Ingenosya, extended an invitation to all interested companies, saying, “The Mada Business Linkage platform is now accessible to all, and I invite all interested companies to explore it and enjoy its benefits.”
The Mada Business Linkage is a cornerstone of the African Development Bank’s SME Business Linkage Program, a comprehensive initiative covering all sectors of Madagascar’s economy.
With a $1.4 million investment from the Bank, this program aims to spur the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), stimulate large-scale economic development, and create enhanced employment prospects, particularly for women and young people in vital sectors.
Sandrine Rakotovao, in charge of the SME Business Linkage Program at the African Development Bank, revealed plans for an extensive campaign to raise awareness and promote the platform throughout October 2023.
In its initial phase, Malagasy businesses can register and utilize the Mada Business Linkage platform for free. This opportunity offers unprecedented visibility and access to potential partners and suppliers, fostering an environment of collaboration and growth.
Post-2024, the platform will be self-financed through annual subscription fees from its members, ensuring its sustainability.
As Madagascar embraces this digital revolution in business networking, the nation takes a significant step towards economic transformation, job creation, and gender-inclusive growth, all underpinned by the power of innovative technology.
