AfconQ: CAF Appoints Algerian Referees For Nigeria Versus Sao Tome/Principe

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) have appointed Algerian referees for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Nigeria and Sao Tome/Principe at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Sunday, reports Prime Business Africa.

Algerian referees, led by seasoned official Lahlou Benbraham, will take charge of the game with Brahim El Hamlaoui Sid Ali and Mohammed Serradj as Assistant Referees, and Nabil Boukhalfa as the Fourth Official.

CAF has appointed Ghana’s Prosper Addo as the Match Commissioner to ensure a well-organized game.

Togolese Komi Konyoh has been handed the role of Referee Assessor, evaluating the officiating team’s performance.

Nigeria with 12 points have already qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivorie but are keen to finish on top of Group B.

The match arbitars are expected in Nigeria on Friday ahead of the game.
