AFCON: Pharoahs Of Egypt Tame Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon, To Face Senegal In Sunday’s Final

The Terenga Lions of Senegal will battle Pharaohs of Egypt in the final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon after the Egyptians defeated hosts Cameroon 3-1 in the penalty shootout on Thursday night.

Cameroon and Egypt semi-final match on Thursday were settled via penalty shootout after regulation and extra time ended scoreless.

In the ensuing penalty kick, Cameroon lost three of their four spotkicks while Egypt scored all of their three kicks.

Egypt will meet Senegal who defeated Burkina Faso 3-1 on Wednesday, in the final on Sunday, with kick-off at 8pm at the 60, 000 capacity Olembe Stadium.

Meanwhile, Cameroon will battle Burkina Faso in the third place match on Saturday night.
