Substitute Vincent Aboubakar scored twice in a miraculous comeback for hosts Indomitable Lions of Cameroon in Saturday’s third place final of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations against Burkina Faso.

The five-time African champions were 3-0 down at some point but rallied from behind to make it 3-3 thereby forcing the match to go into penalty shootouts which they won 5-3.

Aboubakar now wins the Golden Boot with eight goals except Senegal’s Sadio Mane scores five goals in the final against the Egyptians.

Cameroon claimed their third goal with an equaliser from Aboubakar but his effort was controversially debated as it appeared that he pushed away a Cameroon defender unto his goalkeeper.

In the ensuing penalty kicks, Cameroon scored all their kicks while Burkina Faso missed twice.
