The Nigeria-eligible players were part of the 27 man travelling party that touched down in Poland on Tuesday and took part on Chelsea’s final training session at the match venue.

Head coach, Enzo Maresca, named a large squad but the quartet of Romeo Lavia, Aaron Anselmino, Wesley Fofana and Marcus Bettinelli were ineligible for the competition hence did not make the cut leaving 23 registered players available for selection.

The players of Nigerian descent are expected to make at least the substitute bench with no fitness issues.

Tosin Adarabioyo, who has been earmarked for a possible debut for the Super Eagles, has been a regular starter for the Blues in the third-tier of UEFA competition.

Adarabioyo made the team in 10 appearances and was on target in the 8-0 beating of 8-0 of FC Noah.

For George, he scored against Legia Warsaw and assisted goals against FC Copenhagen and Djurgardend IF.

Adarabioyo and George could make history with Chelsea Wednesday night.

The London side have won the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

The Chelsea versus Real Betis final will kick off at 8pm Nigerian time.

Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest 2-0 on the final day of the 2024/2025 Premier League campaign on Sunday to confirm their place in the UEFA Champions League for next season.

The results in other fixtures of the last day of the 2024/2025 season worked in Chelsea’s favour.

Aston Villa were beaten – albeit controversially – in a 2-0 defeat to Manchester United which ultimately denied them a Champions League place.

Newcastle United were also beaten by Brighton and Hoves.

Adarabioyo arrived from Fulham and has had to contend with other central defensive players
