Adamawa Guber: PDP Insists Gov Finitiri Won, Demands Arrest Of REC

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has released an updated list of its campaign council for Edo State Governorship Election, with Adamawa Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, leading as chairman.

According to the list contained in a press statement signed by PDP National Publicity Secretary Debo Ologunagba, released on Thursday, Delta State governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, was appointed as the deputy chairman. Also appointed as co-deputy chairman is the Taraba State governor, Dr Kefas Agbu.

Former vice president and presidential candidate of the PDP in the 2023 general election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, is also a member of the campaign council.

Also in the 144-member campaign council are PDP Acting National Chairman, Amb. Umar Iliya Damagun, former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, Former Senate President Adolphus Wabara. Some of the governors in the list are: Bala Muhammed (Bauchi), Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Godwin Obaseki (Edo), Ademola Adeleke (Osun), Douye Diri (Bayelsa), Siminalayi Fubara (Rivers), Umo Eno (Akwa Ibom), Caleb Mutfwang (Plateau), Peter Mbah (Enugu).

With the publication of the list, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) says the next activity is to ensure victory in the election “The National Working Committee (NWC) of our great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the exercise of its powers, and pursuant to its commitment of ensuring victory for our Party in the Edo State Governorship Election scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2024.”

All council members are were asked to be available for the inauguration which will be taking place on Tuesday, 4th of June, 2024 at National Executive Committee (NEC) Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Wuse FCT, Abuja.

The Edo State governorship election is coming up on September 16, 2024.
