‘I Was Considering Leaving The House’- Seyi On His Misogynistic Comments

August 25, 2023
Top 10 Moments That Defined BBNaija All Stars 2023

In a candid conversation, Seyi, a participant on the popular reality show Big Brother Naija All Stars, has revealed to fellow housemate Ilebaye about his contemplation of leaving the show following a regrettable comment he made regarding the girl child.

Seyi expressed his remorse, admitting, “I am still embarrassed every time the thing comes to my head… I want to personally apologize to you cause more or less I can say it was directed in your direction because you’re the youngest of everybody in the house… hopefully when you see or hear what it is that I said, you will understand why I’m not able to say it.”

The incident had a profound impact on Seyi, to the point where he contemplated leaving the house. The weight of the situation became even clearer after a reprimand from Big Brother.

“It was already affecting me to a certain degree I was considering leaving the house because of it, because it’s really that bad for me,” Seyi confided to Ilebaye.

This heartfelt apology was not the first. Seyi had previously apologized publicly during his diary session with Big Brother and during a meeting with his fellow All Stars housemates.

In a parallel narrative, Ilebaye shared her perspective on the ongoing conflict between her and another housemate, Doyin. During a diary session, Ilebaye admitted to feeling fatigued by the strain on their friendship.

Nevertheless, she expressed a willingness to mend their relationship by demonstrating her genuine affection for Doyin. The root cause of the conflict appeared to revolve around a lack of communication. Ilebaye revealed that Doyin was upset because she had kept information about Kiddwaya and Mercy’s interactions at a recent pool party from her.

Ilebaye justified her decision by claiming that she didn’t mention it earlier due to Doyin’s stated dislike for the person involved. Doyin’s perspective, on the other hand, was influenced by a conversation between Ilebaye and another housemate, Venita.

This conversation cantered around the damage caused to Ilebaye’s belongings, leading to a feud between Doyin and Venita. Doyin’s frustration was palpable as she discussed feeling betrayed by Ilebaye’s choice to believe Venita’s account over hers.
