Super Eagles Star Lookman Wins Atalanta Player Of Season Award

Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been awarded the Best Player prize for his Italian side, Atalantain the 2022/2023 season.

The former Leicester City, Fulham and RB Leipzig star scored 15 goals and recorded eight assists for Atalanta in all competitions last season.

He led the team to a 7th placed finish in in Serie A to earn a place in the Europa League next season.

Lookman joined Atalanta from RB Leipzig in the summer for a reported fee of €15 million.

He made his Super Eagles debut against Ghana in March 2022.

The 25-year-old has scored one goal in seven appearances for Nigeria.

He was part of the Super Eagles squad which qualified for the 2023 Africa Nations Cup after beating Sierra Leone 3-2 in June.

Lookman had an outstanding debut campaign with Atalanta.

The 25-year-old attacker just joined the club last summer from RB Leipzig for €9.2million, and he repaid every penny spent on him.
