1. Presidential Poll Petition: Obi Accuses INEC Of Bias
Labour Party Presidential candidate in the just concluded election, Peter Obi, has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of being biased in the ongoing proceedings on the petition challenging the outcome of the presidential poll.
Obi faulted INEC for filing a preliminary objection in support of the President-elect, Tinubu.
He observed that the electoral umpire ought to remain neutral and not align with other respondents (Tinubu, Shettima, and APC) as INEC did through its response. Read more
2. 10th N’Assembly Leadership: Tinubu, Shettima, Meet APC Top Brass, As Desperate Aspirants Threaten Zoning
President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima held a meeting with the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Abdullahi Adamu, and some members of the National Working Committee of the APC on Wednesday in Abuja over the zoning arrangements for the 10th National Assembly leadership positions.
This is even as some desperate aspirants have jettisoned the zoning arrangement. While some are calling for a position like the Senate President to be zoned to the Southeast for fairness and balance, others are clamoring for it to be zoned to the Northwest region of the country.
3. APC’s Binani Witch-hunted Because She’s Woman – Campaign Council
The Campaign Council for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress in Adamawa State, Aishatu ‘Dahiru Ahmed ‘Binani’, has alleged that Binani is being witch-hunted because she is a woman.
Coordinator of the campaign council, Vrati Nzonzo, made this claim in an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today show on Tuesday.
4. E’Banking: Access Holdings, GTCO, UBA Announce N7.19trn USSD Transaction in 2022
Access Holdings Plc, United Bank for Africa Plc (UBA), and Guaranty Trust Holding Plc have announced N7.19 trillion Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD) transactions in 2022.
The same figure was reported in the 2021 financial year. While some recorded a decline in USSD transactions others recorded an increase from the previous year. The ones that recorded a decline blamed it on customers’ behavioral changes.
5. LP Urges Tribunal To Ignore Aapa-led Faction’s Letter Seeking Withdrawal of Obi’s Petition Against Tinubu
The Labour Party has dissociated itself from a letter signed by the self-acclaimed factional national chairman of the party, Lamidi Apapa, asking the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal to dismiss all cases by the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, against the declaration of the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, as winner in the February 25 general election.

President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, has issued an order that the Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Ebony State be relocated to Abuja immediately. Read more
7. Industrialists Back Aba Power, Flay TCN, Market Operator
Industrialists in Aba, Abia State, have flayed the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for disconnecting the commercial and industrial city from the National Grid.
Aba Power Limited was disconnected from the national grid last Friday by the TCN over an alleged N896 million debt owed as fees to government agencies in the power sector.
However, the Association of Indigenous Manufacturers in Aba (AIMA), after their executive council meeting on Tuesday, said Aba Power has done nothing wrong to deserve the kind of treatment they are getting from TCN. Read more

Seplat Energy Plc has disclosed plans to initiate a recruitment process for a new board chairman, following the retirement of Mr Basil Omiyi.

9. Wale Tinubu’s Oando To Commence Electric Transport Business In Lagos
Oando Clean Energy (OCEL), largely owned by Wale Tinubu, has taken delivery of electric buses from Chinese carmaker, Yutong Bus, as the company enters the transportation business in Lagos State.
Oando Plc is adding the deployment of mass transit to its portfolio through its subsidiary, OCEL. To enter the transport business, OCEL and Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Read more
10. Foreign transactions on NGX fall by 53% – Report
The transactions done by foreign investors on the Nigerian Exchange Limited decreased by 53.16 per cent from N19.62bn to N9.19bn between February and March 2023.
This was disclosed in the March edition of the Domestic & Foreign Portfolio Investment Report of NGX, which was released this month.
