Buhari Felicitates With Sidi Ali, Journalist, Parliamentarian At 84

President Muhammadu Buhari has felicitated with Sidi Ali, a journalist, and former parliamentarian on his 84th birthday.

According to a statement on Friday by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, President Buhari joined the Ali family, friends and colleagues in celebrating the media icon.

Buhari remarked that Ali has had “a lifetime dedicated to the service of humanity, respect for diversity and devotion in mentoring others in the media profession.”

The President applauded Ali for “setting a worthy example in integrity and humility in public service” and urged those celebrating him to emulate this conduct.

Nigerian leader prayed that the almighty would grant the octogenarian more years of good health and happiness.

Ali has served the country in various capacities including the Nigerian International Press Centre, Ministry of Information and National Broadcasting Commission. He also served as member of the board of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency.
