Woman of the Match Rasheedat Ajibade was the scorer of the solitary goal in the 57th minute at the Stade Mohamed V, Casablanca which sees the nine-time African champions secure a semifinals clash against hosts Morocco.

The Lionesses are one of just three teams to have beaten (in 2012) the Falcons in the last 16 years, even though it is their only win in the last five encounters against the Nigerians.

The win over the Indomitable Lionesses was the 53rd WAFCON win for the Nigerians who have now ensured that they qualified for all the nine consecutive FIFA Women’s World Cups since 1991.
