Oshoala got injured in the game against South Africa on Monday, as the Super Falcons lost 2-1 to archrivals Banyana Banyana.

Scans revealed that Barcelona Femine forward Oshoala suffered a grade two medial collateral ligament injury and will be returning to Spain on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the Super Falcons will hope to bounce back from the defeat to South Africa when they lock horns with debutants and Group C leaders Botswana on Thursday.

The nine-time African champions will face off against the debutants at 9pm Nigerian time.

Botswana defeated another tournament debutants Burundi 4-2 on Monday.

A victory is ‘a must’ for Nigeria and Botswana in their second Group C game at the Stade Hassan Moulay Stadium in Rabat.
