President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke has urged Christians in the country to register and obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVC) to take active part in the 2023 general election.
Wale Oke who is also the presiding Bishop, Sword of the Spirit Ministries and Promoter, Precious Cornerstone University, directed the Christians to go along with their PVCs to church this coming Sunday, the 26th of June to show evidence of having registered as voters, and urged those who are yet to register to do so.

The cleric also used the opportunity to sensitize and encourage people about the importance of getting their PVCs and participating in the electoral processes regardless of their denomination. This, he believed, was the way to transform the country for the better and eradicate bad leadership.
Earlier, during a church service in Osogbo, Osun State, attended by Archbishop Praise Daniel and other Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria ministers, to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of PFN in the state, Bishop Oke, while speaking at the occasion, issued a warning to political parties concerning the inadequacy of a Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Referring to the religious affiliations of the past three presidents of the nation, the PFN president said a Muslim-Muslim ticket is inappropriate for the wholeness of the nation.
He also stated that any political party hell-bent on a Muslim-Muslim alliance will face them (Christians) at the polls in the 2023 general elections.
Part of the statement by the PFN Director of Media in Osun State, Bishop Seun Adeoye quoted Oke as saying, “PFN has 65 million people and we will vote against such a party.”
“With respect to the 2023 election, the exercise carries the power and possibility of unifying the country with respect to ethnicity and religion and can also disable the nation if done incorrectly.
“We owe our nation the duty to contribute our quota to achieve peaceful co-existence and build a united nation,” he said.
The PFN president said Sunday, June 26, 2022, is set aside for Christians to show their PVCs at service and for those who don’t have to get theirs.
