Jose Peseiro’s team are however second on the log after the São Tomé and Principe were hammered 5-1 by Guinea-Bissau.

Monday’s fixture is the first time ever the Eagles and São Tomé and Principe will clash in world football.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles resumed training Friday evening at 6pm inside the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja ahead of Monday’s clash.

Meanwhile centre back William Troost-Ekong has been ruled out of the Sao Tome & Principe clash due to groin injury.

The Super Eagles vice captain has left camp and back to London to start treatment in preparation for the upcoming season.
