The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) President Patrice Motsepe has magnanimously donated the sum of Five Hundred Thousand United States Dollars ($500, 000) to displaced communities in Mozambique.

He made the donation on behalf of the Motsepe Foundation.
He was joined by the Governor of Cabo Delgado, Valige Tauabo, CAF General Secretary, Veron Mosengo-Omba, the Mozambique Football Association, President Faizal Sidat, and co-founder and CEO of the Motsepe Foundation, Dr. Precious Moloi-Motsepe.
Approximately 2000 displaced community members received football balls and bibs from CAF.
After the cash donation, the CAF President was at Maputo Tuesday afternoon (April 26) for the launch of the African Schools Programme.
Motsepe had earlier in the year before the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cameroon donated various sums of money to religious bodies in that country.
