Nigeria’s Super Eagles on Tuesday failed to qualify for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after they played a 1-1 draw against the Black Stars of Ghana in Abuja which saw the Ghanaians qualify on away goals rule reports Prime Business Africa.
Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey put the Black Stars ahead in the 11th minute when his low shot from outside the penalty box squirmed past the arms of goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.

The guests went defensive in the second half which frustrated the Nigerians despite a flurry of attacking threats from Austin Eguavoen’s team.
The Eagles will now focus on qualifying for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire next summer.
