BREAKING: Speeding Car Knocks Down Five Women, Along Lagos Airport Road

A speeding black salon car knocked down five women early Monday morning on their way to work along the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Road, Lagos.

The ugly incident too place at the popular 7 &8 Junction. Three of the five women were badly injured, with one of them having a mangled left leg.

The driver of the car drove off immediately to avoid being mobbed.
According to eye witness account, the affected women were standing along the service lane, apparently waiting to cross to the other side when the speedy car knocked them down at once, also destroying valuables in their possession.

The incident caused tension and  a brief traffic slow down on the Expressway  as passersby quickly made frantic efforts to rescue the victims, especially the ones bleeding profusely.

They were taken to different hospitals in the area for immediate treatment, while some road users launched a man-hunt for the driver who knocked them down.
At the time of filing this report, the driver had not been found.
