Mbam was indefinitely suspended in February alongside the Commissioner for Infrastructure Development for Concession, Ogbonnaya Obasi-Abara, over alleged dereliction of duty. The action followed concerns over the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Nwifuru recalled Mbam in May after he apologised and appealed for another opportunity to serve. His latest removal marks the third disciplinary action involving him as works commissioner under Nwifuru, according to Premium Times.
