Leicester City are keen to agree a new long-term contract with Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi.

The defensive midfielder is currently in his sixth year at the King Power Stadium, with 201 appearances in all competitions being made since January 2017.

The former Genk player has enhanced his status as one of the best players in his position in world football and that has inevitably seen him linked with clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Real Madrid.

English publication Football Insider are however reporting that the Foxes could cash in on fellow midfield star Youri Teliemans in the summer so are not prepared to let go of another prizes jewel in Ndidi.

Ndidi’s contract runs until the end of the 2023-24 season with his last renewal all the way back in August 2018.

Interestingly aside playing football, Ndidi is studying Business and Management at the De Montfort University (DMU) in Leicester and that could impact on his decision of moving to a new club.
