Best-Performing Drink Producers In Nigeria

Guinness

With a 64.72 percent increase in revenue for the third quarter of 2025, Guinness Nigeria was the best-performing brewery in Nigeria after generating N98.06 billion turnover, exceeding the N59.53 billion recorded in the same quarter the previous year.

  • To earn the revenue, Guinness spent N61.72 billion on production costs between July and September of this year, compared to the N41.39 billion recorded as cost of sales in 2024, indicating a 49.10 percent increase.
  • The company also ended the year with a 315.49 percent growth in profit before tax (PBT), which increased from N3.81 billion in the third quarter of last year to N15.86 billion in the corresponding period in 2025.

Nigerian Breweries

Nigerian Breweries recorded N308.23 billion as revenue for the period between July and September 2025, surpassing the N231.10 billion posted as turnover during the corresponding period last year.

  • Due to the 33.37 percent growth in revenue, Nigerian Breweries closed the period under review as the second-best-performing drink producer in Nigeria, according to Prime Business Africa’s analysis.
  • In addition, Nigerian Breweries reported cost of sales of N204,08 billion for the third quarter of 2025, against the N180,87 billion posted in the previous year, representing a 12.83 percent increase.
  • However, the company said loss before tax (PBT) decreased by 96.80 percent to N2.77 billion within the quarter under review, from the N86.65 billion pretax loss recorded in Q3 2024.

Champion Brew

Champion Brew was ranked third on the list by Prime Business Africa due to a 22.96 percent increase in the company’s revenue for the period between July and September 2024.

  • The revenue had increased to N5.50 billion in the third quarter of this year, exceeding the N4.47 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year.
  • Although the increase in cost of sales overshoots the growth of Champion Brew’s revenue, as the former grew by 33.20 percent to N3.09 billion during the period under review, from N2.30 billion in Q3 2024.
  • This did not help Champion Brew’s bottom line, as the drink producer suffered a N318.29 million loss before tax in Q3 2025, compared to the N511,2 million profit before tax (PBT) recorded in Q3 2025.

International Breweries

International Breweries closed the third quarter as the fourth best-performing company in the brewery industry, following a 9.42 percent growth in its revenue, which was N131.57 billion in Q3 2025, compared to the N120.24 billion turnover posted in the same period last year.

  • The brewer said the cost of production gulped N92,23 billion in the third quarter of this year, compared to the N87,99 billion incurred in the corresponding period in 2024, leading to a 4.81 percent increase.
  • In addition, International Breweries reported a N12.68 billion profit before tax between July and September 2025, recovering from the N4,31 billion pretax loss recorded in the third quarter last year.
