At the end of trading on Wednesday, November 19, the equity capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), also known as the stock market, dropped to N92 trillion, from the previous day’s N92.21 trillion.
This followed a 340.5 basis points drop from the all-share index (ASI), which declined from 144,986.51 ASI. to 144,646.01 index points.

Top five gainers
- FGSUK2031S4’s share price increased by N18.92 kobo to rise from N77.04 to N95.96 kobo per share.
- NCR’s share value grew by N3.05, from N30.95 kobo to N34 per share.
- Caverton ended trading at N5.65 kobo per share, from N5.15 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N0.50 kobo.
- UAC Nigeria gained N5.25 kobo to end trading at N68.30 kobo, having opened with N63.05.
- Mutual Benefits’ share value was up by N0.26 kobo, after closing at N3.64 kobo from N3.38 kobo per share.
Top five losers
- Universal Insurance’s share price depreciated by N0.13 kobo, dwindling from N1.30 kobo to N1.17 kobo per share.
- Lotus Hal15 recorded an N8.51 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N76.70 kobo after opening with N85.21 kobo per share.
- Associated Bus Transport lost N0.38 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N3.44 kobo from N3.82 kobo per share.
- LivingTrust reported a decline of N0.37 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N3.73 kobo to end trading at N3.36 kobo per share.
- Chellaram recorded a N1.60 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N14.65 kobo after opening with N16.25 kobo per share.

- Tantalizer recorded 70.90 million shares valued at N195.27 million.
