British Airways Cancels Abuja-Heathrow Morning Flight Over AVM Obierika’s In-flight Death

British Airways Passengers Complain of abandonment

Prime Business Africa reports that the early morning in-flight death of high-profile passenger on British Airways London-Abuja  fligh number BA 83 , Air Vice Marshal Osita Obierika (rtd), has taken a big toll on the international airline and its passengers as the 7.50 am Abuja- London leg of the flight was moved to the evening of the same day  as there was no no flight on ground .

This newspaper had reported that the airline’s pilot had announced a medical emergency involving passenger AVM Obierika who later died in the BA aircraft, forcing the pilot to detour to El Prat airport in Barcelona Spain in an emergency landing.

An affected passenger who would prefer not to be named told Prime Business Africa that travellers who were schedulld for the 7.50 am Abuja-Heathrow flight on monday  morning were “rescheduled for tonight”, meaning that British Airways will probably fly too aircraft to cover up for the gap created by the late arrival of  from flight BA83 to Abuja due to the medical emergency and the resultant detoru to Spian.
