Over N203.46 billion was added to the market capitalisation of the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), also known as the Nigerian stock market, on Tuesday, August 26.
The market capitalisation had closed at N89.69 trillion after trading hours, up from the N89.49 trillion posted on Monday, August 25.

Over 605.01 million shares were traded in 28,845 deals, valued at N12.89 billion, against the previous day’s 591.24 million shares, exchanged in 33,342 deals, worth N11.65 billion.
Top five gainers
- NCR’s share price increased by N1.05, to rise from N10.50 kobo to N11.55 kobo per share.
- SFS REIT’s share value grew by N27.40 kobo, from N274.15 kobo to N301.55 kobo per share.
- Berger Paints ended trading at N34.90 kobo per share, from N32 per share – indicating an increase of N2.90 kobo.
- Beta Glass gained N0.19 kobo to end trading at N486, having opened with N449.35 kobo.
- Cadbury’s share value was up by N4.65 kobo, after closing at N62.50 kobo from N57.85 kobo per share.

- Legend Internet share price depreciated by N0.60 kobo, dwindling from N6 to N5.40 kobo per share.
- Lotus Hal15 recorded a N9.55 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N86.03 after opening with N95.58 kobo per share.
- NSLTECH lost N0.10 kobo in its share price after trading hours, to sell at N0.98 kobo from N1.08 per share.
- Cutix reported a decline of N0.35 kobo from the previous day’s share price of N3.90 kobo to end trading at N3.55 kobo per share.
- UAC Nigeria recorded a N6.95 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N73 after opening with N79.95 kobo per share.
