FIFA Club World Cup: Fluminense Shock Inter Milan in Round I6 Clash

Brazilian side Fluminense on Monday night booked their passage to the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup after beating Inter Milan 2-0 at the Bank of America stadium in Charlotte.

Fluminense got their first goal in the 3rd minute through German Cano whose stooping header guided the ball through the legs of Yann Sommer in Inter goal.

Inter had some decent chances themselves with captain Lautaro Martinez hitting the post and Federico Dimarco also coming close.

The Brazilians had a goal ruled out due to offside.

Second half substitute Hercules scored the winner in added time.

Fluminense will face the winner of the Manchester City versus Al Hilal game in the early hours of Tuesday.
