Favour Ofili put aside her running battles with that Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) to win the 100m race at the ATX Classic in Texas, USA.
The Nigerian women’s 100m National champion who only recently switched allegiance from Nigeria to Turkey following her omission from the country’s 100m event at the 3024 Olympics delivered a stunning performance, clocking 10.93s to claim first ahead of Olympics medallist and second-placed Kayla White from the USA with a time of 11.07s and Mikkiah Brisco who came 3rd with a time of 11.22s.

Meanwhile fellow Nigerian Rosemary Chukwuma was also impressive in Sunday’s race.

Chukwuma clocked a time of 10.93s to win her heat ahead of Gabby Thomas who ran a time of 10.96s.
Away from the tracks, Ofili was beaten by Nigeria’s and Africa’s 100m hurdles queen Tobiloba Amusan overall rankings.
Amusan is making a return to the top 100 of the World Athletics women’s overall rankings.
Amusan slipped out of the elite group last year for the first time since the ranking system was introduced in 2019, when she debuted at No. 96, Amusan has surged back to 88th in the world with a ranking score of 1366.
Amusan’s resurgence is powered by a string of impressive performances, including two 12.45-second runs and a season’s best of 12.24s at the 2025 Paris Diamond League, where she finished second behind Grace Stark.
The time is her fastest since setting the world record of 12.12s at Oregon, USA, in 2022.
