As of now, 74 per cent of prisoners nationwide have been enrolled, while the remaining inmates are expected to be captured in the ongoing exercise, the statement clarified.

The Commission has also declared its intention to start ward-level enrollment throughout Nigeria in an effort to bring the National Identity System closer to the people.

NIMC’s Director General, Abisoye Coker-Odusote, reiterated the organisation’s dedication to collaborating with partners to guarantee that all Nigerians and lawful residents receive a NIN.
