Victor EzejaNigeria’s President Bola Tinubu has been endorsed by the All Progressives Congress (APC), North-West zone, for the 2027 presidential election.
The endorsement came after a stakeholder meeting, attended by Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin and all governors, and past governors from the North-West region.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelAt the meeting, which took place in Kaduna on Saturday, there were also state and federal legislators, the National Chairman of the APC, chairmen of state chapters, ministers, and heads of government agencies, including senior political appointees.
In a statement issued by Sen. Uba Sani, Kaduna State Governor and the APC North-West Coordinating Governor, the geo-political zone reaffirmed its commitment to the party.
According to the communique, they also promised to fully back Tinubu’s vision of bringing about equity, prosperity, and long-lasting change for all Nigerians.
They commended President Bola Tinubu for his “purposeful leadership, bold reforms, and unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s progress, especially in the North-West zone.”

Sani claimed that under Tinubu, “security in the North-West had greatly improved, allowing farmers to return to their fields and communities to regain peace and stability.”
As a strong indication of inclusivity, the statement said the zone enjoys unprecedented federal presence, as they have 12 ministries, key National Assembly posts, and top security appointments.
According to the stakeholders, a new age of growth in the region was being ushered in by the completion or commencement of significant infrastructure projects in the North-West.
While asserting that now is the time to consolidate on the party’s gains in the North West Zone, the stakeholders urged the people to work together “to ensure the overwhelming victory of President Tinubu and the APC in the 2027 elections.”
While claiming that the “opposition is in disarray,” it, however, stressed that they must remain focused. “If we continue to deliver on our mandates, the opposition stands no chance of recovering,” they added.
