Victor EzejaLeading airline in West and Central Africa, Air Peace, has promised to evacuate trafficked Nigerian girls from Côte d’Ivoire free of charge.
Air Peace Chairman, Dr Allen Onyema, made this known in a press statement released on Friday.
Join our WhatsApp ChannelThis comes after popular activist, VeryDarkMan (Martins Otse), recently raised the alarm about Nigerian underage girls who have been trafficked to Côte d’Ivoire.
Dr Onyema, who condemned the trafficking of young girls, called for collective action to end the scourge.

“We should discourage trafficking of any kind. It is inhumane and callous. It is absolutely ungodly and a good example of man’s inhumanity to man,” Onyema stated.
Apart from offering the trafficked victims free flights back to Nigeria, the Air Peace boss also pledged to offer free medical services to them upon arrival and support their recovery and reintegration.
“Besides that, we are going to send all of them to Duchess International Hospital in Ikeja for free medical examination and treatment,” Onyema added.
The Air Peace chairman called on the Nigerian Embassy in Côte d’Ivoire to identify and assemble the victims, and urged officials to work with the airline to ensure speedy evacuation. He also called on the Federal Government to take care of the victims’ rehabilitation and education.
