Mother’s Day: Nigerian Women Unsung Heroines – Remi Tinubu

Wife of Nigeria’s President, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has hailed Nigerian women for their resilience and invaluable contribution to nation-building.

In a message to mark the 2025 Mother’s Day celebration, the Nigerian First Lady appreciated Nigerian women for their sacrifices in families and the nation as a whole, describing them as “unsung heroes.”

Oluremi Tinubu highlighted the invaluable roles women play in nurturing children, adding that they are the pillars of the society.

She said: “On this special occasion of Mother’s Day, I celebrate all mothers, mothers the heart of families, the nurturers of children, and the pillars of society.

“Your sacrifices, dedication, and commitment to raising the next generation is truly inspiring.

“Today, I honour every mother across Nigeria those who care tirelessly for the families, who balance work and home, and those who, despite challenges, continue to give their best. You are the unsung heroes, and your impact resonates far beyond what words can describe.

“I say to all mothers that the future of our nation and the world lies in the values, wisdom and love we instill in the coming generation.”

While wishing all mothers a happy celebration, the first lady prayed for God’s continued blessings on them and the country.

Mother’s Day, which is celebrated on different dates worldwide every year, is a day set aside to honour and appreciate mothers and motherhood.

It’s a special day to recognise the selfless love, care, and sacrifices that mothers make for their families.
