The deal includes an option for Aston Villa to buy him for three and a half years contract for £40 million if triggered at the end of the season.

According to Sky Sports, the move comes as the English football star seeks more playing time after being sidelined by United manager, Ruben Amorim, who has reportedly been unhappy with the forward’s training commitment.

According to ESPN, Medicals have been booked and both clubs are finalizing the agreement, with Villa set to cover a significant portion of Rashford’s £325,000-a-week salary.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, said that Aston Villa will cover approximately 70% of Rashford’s wages during the loan deal.

Rashford, 27, has spent his entire professional career at Manchester United, coming through the club’s academy before making his senior debut in 2016. He has since made over 380 appearances for the Red Devils, scoring 128 goals. However, his form has dipped this season, leading to speculation over his future.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery sees Rashford as a key addition to his squad, particularly as the club competes in the Champions League this season. With Villa currently pushing for a top-four finish in the Premier League, Rashford’s arrival could provide a much-needed boost to their attacking options, as reported by Sky Sports.

The deal is expected to be finalized before Monday’s transfer deadline. If completed, this move will mark a significant moment in Rashford’s career as he wears a club jersey other than Manchester United’s for the first time in his career.
