Terrorists Attack Jos Correctional Centre To Free Inmates

Officers at the Jos Correctional Centre in Plateau State Sunday evening exchanged gunfire with terrorists who stormed the facility in what looked like an attempt to free inmates.

Details of the attack remained sketchy, but Prime Business Africa reliably gathered that residents ran for cover as other security operatives joined those at the facility to repel the attackers.

The Jos correctional centre on the Gada Biu Road is said to have been deserted as residents heard sounds of gunfire and were warned against getting close to the spot.
