Nigeria’s Prestina Ochonogor was forced to suspend, and the world was equally forced to miss planned Mike Ejeagha’s Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo dance, as part of qualification celebration.
Ochonogor who finished last in the finals of women’s long Jump event of the ongoing Olympics in Paris had planned to showcase her skills in the dance that trended and continues to trend after it was re-invented by Skit maker Jotter Brain.

Unfortunately, after the Nigeria trio of long jumpers, Ese Brume, Ruth Usoro and Prestina Oluchi Ochonogor failed to make the cut, Ochonogor cancelled what may have turned out to be an interesting side attraction at the Olympics venue.
Ese Brume who jumped 6.70m, finished as the fifth best from the three-woman team but the duo of Usoro and Ochonogor finished 10th and 12th respectively with their best marks of 6.58m & 6.24m respectively to bow out of the Olympics.
Litany of Dashed Medal Hopes
Some Nigerians had prior to the race expressed hope that one of the team members will hit the podium. Tara Davis-Woodhall won the Gold medal of the event with the Silver and Bronze medals going to Malaika Mihambo of Germany and Jasmine Moore, who jumped 7.10m,6.98 and 6.96m respectively.
The rebirth of Mike Ejeagha’s Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo song underscores the gains of making evergreen music that can last the time.
