Nigerians Should See Diversity As Strength To Achieve Prosperity – Air Peace Boss

Chairman of Air Peace Limited, Dr Allen Onyema, has called on Nigerians to uphold unity and eschew all forms of ethnic and religious divisions to achieve formidable progress in the country.

Onyema emphasised the need for the citizens to have a sense of patriotism and work for the good of the entire country not sectional interest.

He made the call while delivering a lecture titled “Leading by Example: Instilling Trust and Confidence in Subordinates”, for course participants of Senior Course 46 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College (AFCSC), Jaji on Monday in Kaduna.

He said Nigeria is a great country blessed with diverse ethnic groups and abundance of human and natural resources.

The Air Peace chairman urged Nigerians not to stigmatise each other, stressing that they can realize the country’s development potential by uniting and having a nationalistic mindset.

“Nigeria is the envy of the entire world, forget whatever anybody tells you, we have human and natural resources, and the human capital in Nigeria is unbelievable,” Onyema stated.

“Having 378 ethnic nationalities means that every tribe has a positive attribute to contribute to the centre, which every Nigerian is to be encouraged.”

He observed that the Nigerian military demonstrates true nationalism which every citizen should emulate.

Air Peace chairman hailed the Nigerian armed forces for their sacrifices to keep the country safe and united, and urged the citizens to appreciate them, especially at this try time.

“We have to thank the military and appreciate the sacrifices they have made in keeping the country one.

“The citizens have to appreciate their sacrifices and support the Armed Forces of Nigeria, especially at this trying time.

“We believe in our military, we see the military that is fighting for us to keep our country safe and peaceful,” the Air Peace chairman stated.

Speaking directly to the topic of the lecture, Onyema harped on the importance of integrity, consistency, and empowerment of subordinates in order to create a work environment where every individual aims for organisational excellence.

Air Peace boss outlined trust, confidence, expertise and proficiency in one’s role as well as taking responsibility for all outcomes and actions as key to effective leadership and actualization of national duties.
