Anambra Police Command Begin  Retraining Of Officers 
Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has  directed the commencement of training and retraining of personnel of the state command aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, and increasing police knowledge and performance to ensure discipline and create better relationships with the public.
The training is in line with the directive of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and his vision of ensuring Police effective service delivery to the Nigerian populace.
According to a statement signed by the Anambra Police Command PRO, Tochukwu Ikenga, “the capacity development exercise is  scheduled in batches for all personnel of the Command to relearn Police Duties, Police Act and regulations, Musketry, Riot Drills, Foot Drills, Use of Firearms, and Human Rights, amongst others.”
Ikenga explained that the exercise will expose the police officers of the Command to modern-day policing strategies and enable them acquire more skills in crime prevention strategies, and the protection of lives and properties which include Schools, higher institutions, markets, Churches, and Private and government infrastructures in the State.
” “The CP while emphasising the need for professionalism and a better Policing system, implored the trainees to make good use of this reorientation period to arm themselves with the basics of policing and become better officers,” Ikenga further stated.
